What is this, in one line?

A relationship focused CRM that lives inside the AI assistant you already use. There's no app. You tell it what happened after a meeting, in your own words. Months later you say a name and everything you know about that person comes back.

Can you just show me?

Sure. Here it is.

I already have a CRM. Why would I need another one?

You probably don't need another one. You need a different kind.

Most CRMs are a list of names. They can tell you who someone is. They can't tell you why they matter, what they're worried about, or what you agreed in a room eight months ago, because nobody ever typed that in.

Everyone tracks their know-how. Nobody tracks their know-who: the people you know, and what you actually know about them. That's the gap. It's also where the name comes from.

Fine. What do I actually have to do?

Walk out of the meeting and say what happened. Voice or text, any order, nothing to fill in. Takes about thirty seconds. Here's a real one.

All right, um, so I just came back from the Estuary Founders Showcase. I finally had the proper chat with Oriad uh, from Halicon, and um, she apparently works with Rishi. She, um, well, actually, she's running their portfolio review right now, and one of uh, their companies, the portfolio companies, it's a food manufacturer that runs everything on spreadsheets. So that sounds like a good opportunity. So she will send me the name and try to connect me with them. And uh, yes, and I also bumped into Barnaby from uh, Ossington. He says that his away day is definitely the last week of October. So I need to make note of that, and I need to remember to chase Oriane on a Friday to make that connection.

ASSISTANT

Both logged in the CRM.

Oriane Aubertin (Halcyon Ridge Capital): Recorded the chat, the portfolio review she is running with Rishi, and the spreadsheet-based food manufacturer lead. Task set to chase her for the name and introduction on Friday 25 September.

Barnaby (Ossington Brightwater): Recorded the chat and added a note that the partners’ away day is confirmed for the last week of October, attached to the AI pilot opportunity.

One thing worth flagging: you still have the overdue task from 20 September to send Marisol the revised Q4 pilot timeline. With the away day now fixed for late October, that timeline probably wants to land before then.

That reply is the part every other tool skips. It tells you what it matched, what it created and who it linked to whom, before you walk away.

That's a lot to type after every meeting.

So don't type it. Nobody typed the note above. It was said out loud on the way out of the room, ums and all.

Tap the microphone in your assistant and talk. If you want dictation that works everywhere, in every app on your laptop and phone, we use Wispr Flow.

Try Wispr FlowSpeak instead of typing, in any appref.wisprflow.ai

That's our referral link. If you sign up through it, we may get a small reward. It costs you nothing.

I mumble. What happens when it gets a name wrong?

It checks what you said against who's already in your book, and tells you what it corrected. Here the dictation got both names wrong.

Right, um, just out of the Estuary Founders Showcase, finally had a proper chat with Oriane Albertine from Harlequin Ridge. Um, so she works with Rishi and she actually, yeah, she, she runs the portfolio review now. One of the portfolio companies is a food manufacturer that runs everything on spreadsheets. She will send me a name and try to make an introduction. I have also bumped into Barnaby from Ossington's and he says that um, the away day is definitely the last week of October. And yeah, I need to remember to chase Oriane on Friday for that introduction.

ASSISTANT

Oriane is in your CRM as Oriane Aubertin at Halcyon Ridge Capital, with Rishi Venkataraman-Cole as a colleague. The dictation misheard both names. Logging it now.

All logged in the CRM:

  • Oriane Aubertin (Halcyon Ridge Capital): Meeting at the Estuary Founders Showcase, which I added as a new event today. There is a note that she now runs the portfolio review and about the food manufacturer on spreadsheets.
  • Task: Chase Oriane for the introduction, due Friday 25 September.
  • Barnaby: Meeting logged on the Ossington pilot deal, with a note that the away day is the last week of October.

Two quick points. The CRM still lists Oriane as “Associate”. Tell me her new title and I will update it. Also, the revised Q4 timeline for Marisol is still overdue, and now you have a firm away day date to plan it around.

You get the certainty of filling in a form, without filling in a form. Tools that read your inbox record silently, and you find out what they got wrong months later.

Show me what I get back when I ask about someone.

Say the name.

What do I know about marisol quintrell?

ASSISTANT

Marisol Quintrell is General Counsel at Ossington Brightwater LLP (a lead). She is the decision maker on your AI contract review pilot, which is at “Proposal sent”.

How you know her
  • You met at the Estuary Founders Summer Social on 29 June. She was keen to talk about AI for contract review.
  • You saw her again at LawTech Quayside Drinks on 9 August. Barnaby Featherstonhaugh (Head of Innovation) introduced you to Ingrid Solberg-Hale, the CFO there.
Deal history
  • 14 Aug: You sent the proposal to Marisol and Barnaby, and copied Ingrid at Marisol’s request. The partners’ away day decides discretionary spend.
  • 11 Sep: On a call, she said the pilot is pushed to Q4 because Ingrid wants it in next year’s budget. Marisol is still supportive.
  • The real blocker is Ingrid, not Marisol.

Overdue: You had a task to send her the revised Q4 pilot timeline by 21 September. That was two days ago.

Personal: She is a keen sailor and is on the water most weekends. She is also a member of the Estuary Founders Network.

What was said, who else is in the picture, what you owe them, how you met. One answer.

The new CRMs fill themselves from my inbox and calendar. I don't want to type anything. Why would I?

They're good at what they do. If everything that mattered went through your inbox, you wouldn't need this.

It doesn't. The call where she told you the real reason the deal stalled. The dinner where he said he's leaving in the spring. Your own read on which of them actually decides. None of that leaves a digital trace, so none of it is in a tool that reads your digital trace.

Thirty seconds of talking is the price of having the part that matters.

Can't I just use my AI on its own? Or connect it to a spreadsheet?

You can, for a while. Your assistant's own memory is built to remember you, not the two hundred people you deal with. It keeps a loose summary, decides for itself what to hold on to, and can't tell you what it matched or what it changed.

A spreadsheet holds facts, but someone has to keep the columns tidy, and the notes cell is where context goes to die. Two people called Sarah Chen, a job change, who introduced whom: a row can't hold that.

KnowWho is the structured book behind the conversation. Every person, company, meeting and promise is its own record, linked to the rest, and it tells you exactly what it saved.

What can I do with it once it's in there?

Anything your assistant can do, it can now do with everything you know about your people. You don't export, you don't paste, because you never left.

Draft chasing email to Oriane

ASSISTANT
Subject:Following up from the Showcase

Hi Oriane,

Great to finally have a proper chat at the Estuary Founders Showcase on Wednesday.

Just following up on the food manufacturer you mentioned. If you’re still happy to share a name, I’d be glad to have an informal conversation with them. No pitch, just a chat about where spreadsheets might be holding them back.

Happy to send a short note you can forward, if that makes the introduction easier.

Best regards,
Jimmy

The first is a simple nudge. The second mentions the manufacturing case study, so only use it once that has gone to Rishi. Also, the CRM has no email address for Oriane, so you will need to add it yourself.

Nobody said which notes to use. Just her first name.

Do I have to install anything?

No. There's no app, no tab, no icon on your phone, nothing to log into on a Monday morning. KnowWho works where you already work with AI.

That's also why it keeps getting better without us shipping anything. Whatever your assistant learns to do next, it can do with everything you know about your people.

I run a consultancy. Maybe two hundred clients and contacts that actually matter. Is this for me?

Yes. That's exactly who it's for. People whose work runs on a few hundred relationships that each matter individually. Consultants, advisors, founders, investors, agencies, recruiters, partnership people.

If the value is in what you know about someone, this is built for you.

I also have an e-commerce side. Twenty thousand customers. Can I put those in?

No, and you shouldn't. You want a database for that, with segments and email sequences. KnowWho is the opposite kind of tool. It's built for depth over volume, and it would be a bad fit.

We'd rather tell you now than have you find out in a month.

Where does my data live?

In your own book, private to you. Nobody else can see it, including us, except to run the service. We don't use it to train anything. If you leave, you can take it with you and we delete it.

Enterprise customers get a dedicated database. The full detail is in the privacy policy, which is written in English rather than legalese.

How do I start?

Connect it to your assistant and say the name of someone you met this week. That's the whole setup.

You already know more than you can remember. Say a name and find out.
